Trnava is a place where Advent works naturally without grand scenery – a compact centre, narrow streets and the city tower, from which a lantern walk starts during the Advent programme.
The organisers promise the scent of punch, cinnamon and star anise, traditional mead, wine, sweet and savoury treats and crafts. Choirs and Advent concerts have a long tradition here.
The market is shorter than in other cities and ends on 22 December, so the first weeks of Advent are the best bet. The programme is being added to the website gradually.
