Why go: a winter stop of Slovakia’s traveling tasting in a historic Liptov hall, with Danube Wine Challenge champions and a raffle for the local hospital.

Slovakia’s largest traveling wine tasting comes to the heart of Liptov. On Saturday 12 December the Evangelical parish house in Liptovský Mikuláš hosts unlimited tastings from Slovak and international producers.

Medal winners from Danube Wine Challenge are part of the line-up. Tasting runs from 16:00; a charity raffle starts at 20:00 and the evening wraps around 21:00. Wines are poured in Rona glasses.

Buy early for the best price — organisers list advance bands from €18 to €22, with €25 on the door. Every ticket includes free-flow tasting and a €5 voucher toward a bottle.

Raffle proceeds support the Liptov hospital in Liptovský Mikuláš. A strong pre-Christmas pick if you want serious wine with a local cause in winter Liptov.
