Prešov's Hlavná Street is the first in Slovakia to open the Advent season – a Christmas market with punch, local food and crafts from 25 November to 23 December and again 26–31 December 2026.

Prešov traditionally opens the Christmas market season earlier than other Slovak regional cities – on St. Catherine's Day, 25 November.
Expect stalls with crafts, street food and hot drinks along the main street plus a stage programme. The market also runs until New Year's Eve, so it is a good option between the holidays.
